What was the highlight of Starfish Cuatro Palmas Hotel

Good hotel for people who want to sunbake and drink a lot.

THe beach was the highlight . The bed was extra large and comfy. Good working bathroom with all facilities The food and drinks on tap was generous and the hotel entertainment was quite nice.

The nightlife is great in the area, but our room was on the road opposite what turned out to be the party bar so we didn't get much sleep over the 2 nights we were there. Some of the staff at the bar are so busy, ( people drink SO much there!) that they can be a little curt. The hotel does it's best to keep the area in front of the hotel clean, but THe smoking and drinking has left some unfortunate litter all the way along the beautiful beach which is a bit upsetting. ALL the hotels should take responsibility for this.

Request a calm room!!!

Be careful booking this hotel, there are rooms that face a very busy street and bars which make a lot of noise. We asked our room to be changed and they did it. If there were no rooms for this change, our stay would be veeeeery bad - no sleep during holidays kills it all! Also, room towels were not of a good quality, not absorbing. And for those who don't know (we didnt) :)) adults only is for seniors ;)

Allowed me to relax and unwind from my Cuba holiday

Rooms were lovely and spacious and the bathroom was great, the lighting in the bathroom was good. The balcony was lovely. The hotel facilities were nice and there was a great pool and bar and the beaches. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on my side to enjoy the beach....

The booking for the restaurant to try and get a table wasn't to my liking because if you didn't book in time you never got a seat/table. I ended up eating out both nights I was there.

Cuban restaurant was excelent.

Cuban restaurant was excelent. Service and lobby and buffet restaurant very well and friendly staff. The evening shows professional and loved the one in the pool! Great job!

The bartender near the beach and pool not so friendly. Very small plastic cups for the drinks during the daytime. Bring your own containers or thermos so you don’t have to run back and fort since there is no waiter service at the pool or beach.

Think twice before you book this hotel and get there for holidays!!!

Nice location for those people who likes have a party every night. Bars and clubs quite very close to this hotel. Beaches are very clean there are many beautiful palms arround, and the sea depth is shallow so you can swim all day around. Alcohol drinks as rum and wine have the good quality and no limit at this hotel.

Very noisy rooms, I had my room with the window and balcony straight in front of the night street pub Calle 62. It was awful, every time it was impossible to fall asleep till the 02:00 at night while this bar on the street is working and play loud music with shouting people. All 2 weeks there was not possible to sleep enough as a nightmare. The food at this hotel is poor and tasteless, we were not very satisfied with that. Very often I had to remind to the janitor to change towels in the room.

We talked to the front desk and they said they were going to fix it. Fix it means a quick fix with a air freshener... we didn’t get any towels/beach towels until day 2. Over all this is hotel I would never ever recommend to anyone.

Excellent food, friendly staff but be careful with the choise of your room!

The food in the main restaurant was excellent and very tasty. Very big selection of all. Everything was fresh, even when we came later for lunch or dinner. It was all time everything available. Service was most of the time quick and very friendly. For a small money they brought us water bottle extra. Waiters always asked if anything is ok. Cook prepeared all dishes as we liked. Extra ordered Lobster was excellent! The music band in the early evening was playing very nice music. At the beach you have enough beds with shadow and it is quite calm - no noise! The whole staff is very friendly and helpful (give them a few coins and you make them happy!)

Our first room was terrible!!! Directly opposit of the discothek which was playing until 2.30 in the morning. Got Problems with my stomake and head - so terrible loud music!! Could not sleep!! In the bathroom was no space to put things on - we had to put everything on the floor! Next day we could change room to one in the garden, (payed extra) which was quite ok. The lunch food in the beach restaurant was bad! Can not recommend! Not enough shadow around the swimming pool!! The beach should be cleaned more careful... much seagrass, plastics, even broken glass! In the garden area is a place where bad water is coming up. terrible fouling air! The rooms on the streetside direktly in front of the discothek needs a special glass to protect you of the noise!! In the main restaurant the aircondision is a little bit to cold in the left part..

The lunch and dinner could be better! Bed was not comfy! (Old matress, I guess).

A great place for someone who likes resort-type all inclusive holidays.

I liked the room, it was nice, clean and modern. The bathroom was great! The pool looked amazing, the ocean was right behind the building. The stuff was nice and helpful. The food was good and with a lot of variety. For people who like animation, there was a lot to do. There were also shops, wifi and post box in the hotel.

Despite the room being a non-smokers room, it smelled like cigarettes. Since there was no other room in this building, just in a different one, we kept the room. In exchange we got a late check out, which we appreciated a lot. The room was extremely clean, only the fridge wasn´t emptied, but it´s a tiny minus compared to all the good things.

Fabulous room and so quiet at night. The buffet food was fresh, delicious and varied. Staff amazing.

4 amazing days in Varadero

Excellent hotel with 5 star service and location. The beach was right in front and it is amazing! The staff was always there to help and some minor problems were solved immidiately. Good variety and quality of food. We even got early check-inn and got acces to lunch, 5 hours earlier. Check out was at 12 but we could still enjoy the pool and the beach and lunch when our bus left to the airport at 17.30. Would definately go there again!

Great beach access in Varadero

The property is directly on the beautiful Varadero beach. The staff, particularly in the F&B outlets, were so friendly, engaging and eager to please. The choice of food at the buffet for each meal was very good (if not that varied) especially when you consider the access limitations generally in Cuba.

The room wasn't as reflected in the photos and was in an older wing of the hotel. The room was tired with dirty curtains, throws on the bed and was in need of painting. The basic elements you would expect in a hotel billed as 4 stars. In fact I think the general maintenance in the hotel was quite poor.

close to the town and market, private beach is good. food and drink is OK.

the reception staff is moving slowly. Since there is a bar on the street, all rooms to the street are noisy untill 2AM every night. The restaurant in the hotel is simple, taste is so so. The buffet is OK.

Star at the other Starfish which is fabulous,

The beach was the only selling point.

Hated everything. Was put in a room directly opposite all the music which went all night. No sound proofing. Our shower flooded. Staff rude. Food ok. Often ran out of soda at all the bars. NO HOT WATER! WHAT A JOKE. WASTE OF MONEY PLEASE STAY ELSEWHERE. NOT WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY FOR LOCATION. STAY FURTHER DOWN THE STRIP, SAVE MONEY AND GET BETTER SERVICE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE OTHER STAR FISH PROPERTIES.

The proximity of the town of Varadero, the Beatles bar and Calle 62 bar all within walking distance. Nice pool and phenomenal beach. Excellent and friendly service. Cuban restaurant had excellent service and food.
